Kari Siddiqui

Schuyler Center for Analysis & Advocacy

Kari Siddiqui is Project Director for the Schuyler Center, focused on the organization’s child poverty reduction work. Kari previously served as Senior Policy Associate for Prevent Child Abuse NY, where she focused on advocacy and analysis in policy areas related to child welfare and family- and community-supports.

Previously, Kari served as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Schuyler Center, where her work focused on child welfare policy. She has also worked with several community-based organizations and is a founding board member of the Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood. Kari earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government at Portland State University, and a Bachelors degree in Romance Languages from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Panelists will discuss the multifaceted challenges faced by children living in poverty and experiencing hunger. From the detrimental effects on physical health and cognitive development, to barriers to academic success and future opportunities, the discussion will delve into the wide-ranging consequences of these systemic issues. Discover actionable steps to advocate for systemic reforms and ensure every child has access to nutritious food and vital resources. Join us as we work towards a future where no child goes hungry or lacks the opportunities they deserve.
